RE:GEN Group – Solar Panels, EV Chargers & Battery Installation, Doxford Park

The Challenge

RE:GEN Group sought to decarbonise their new head office at Doxford Park while reducing reliance on grid electricity and supporting the transition to electric vehicles for staff and visitors. In addition to performance requirements, the client requested a bespoke rooftop solar PV design incorporating their company logo, adding complexity to the system layout and installation.

Our Solution

Blue Leaf Energy designed and delivered an integrated renewable energy and EV charging solution, combining on-site generation, storage, and vehicle charging infrastructure. The scope included:

• A 52.1 kWp Solar PV system comprising 142 panels, arranged to form the client’s logo within the rooftop array.
• A Solax inverter and battery storage solution, optimising on-site consumption and reducing peak grid demand.
• Installation of 9 × 22 kW CTEK commercial EV chargers, including dual and single outlet units.
• Implementation of dynamic load balancing, allowing EV charging to operate efficiently without overloading the site’s electrical supply.

All systems were carefully coordinated to balance aesthetics, electrical capacity, and long-term operational performance.

Funding & Support

The project was self-funded by RE:GEN Group, with Blue Leaf Energy providing full design, installation, commissioning, and integration of the solar PV, battery, and EV charging systems.

The Results

• Forecasted 66% reduction in annual electricity consumption at the head office.
• 43,000 kWh of renewable energy generated annually.
• 9.2 tonnes of CO₂ saved each year.
• On-site EV charging infrastructure supporting staff and fleet electrification, with intelligent load management.
• A visually distinctive solar PV array reinforcing RE:GEN Group’s sustainability credentials.

Impact

The project demonstrates how a coordinated approach to solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging can deliver meaningful carbon reductions while enhancing site functionality and brand visibility. RE:GEN Group now benefits from lower operating costs, future-ready transport infrastructure, and a clear, visible commitment to sustainability at their flagship office location.
