The Challenge

RE:GEN Group sought to decarbonise their new head office at Doxford Park and reduce reliance on grid electricity. Beyond energy performance, the client wanted the installation to be visually impactful by incorporating their company logo into the rooftop solar PV array, adding complexity to both design and delivery.

Our Solution

Blue Leaf Energy designed and installed a 52.1 kWp Solar PV system with integrated battery storage, tailored to meet the client’s operational and branding objectives. The system included:

  • 142 high-performance panels strategically configured to form RE:GEN’s logo within the array.
  • A Solax inverter and battery solution to optimise generation, storage, and on-site usage.
  • A bespoke design and installation approach to balance aesthetics, structural integrity, and system efficiency.
  • Close coordination with the client throughout to ensure technical excellence while achieving the desired visual impact.

Funding & Support

The project was self-funded by RE:GEN Group, with Blue Leaf Energy providing end-to-end design, installation, and commissioning services.

The Results

  • Forecasted 66% reduction in annual electricity consumption at the head office.
  • 43,000 kWh of renewable energy generated each year.
  • 9.2 tonnes of CO₂ saved annually, supporting corporate Net Zero commitments.
  • A distinctive solar PV array showcasing RE:GEN’s brand identity while demonstrating sustainability leadership.

Impact

This installation highlights how renewable energy systems can deliver both functional and visual impact. RE:GEN Group now benefits from significantly reduced operating costs and carbon emissions, while their customised rooftop array stands as a visible statement of their commitment to sustainability and innovation.
